The twist test is a common test used to help determine if you may have a labral tear in your hip.
To do this, you're going to stand with the leg you want to test with that knee a little bit, and then you're going to move that knee side to side like a windshield wiper while keeping your hip still.
This provides internal and external rotation of the hip joint. And if it causes pain, that could help rule in or out if you do have an issue with your labrum.
