Hi, I'm Natalie, and today Veritas Health is going to show you three easy stretches for wrist pain relief. The first stretch I'm going to show you guys is a wrist rotation stretch. This will be performed with your hands and fists and your arms straight in front of you. You'll then rotate your wrist in a circle for about 10 to 20 times, and then you can switch and go around the other direction.
If you have any pain with this exercise or if it worsens your symptoms, please stop and consult your medical provider. But if you have some joint noises and cracking that aren't associated with pain, that's totally normal. The next stretch I'm going to show you guys is a hooked stretch.
You're going to have your hand out in front of you like this, and you're going to bend your fingers at your second knuckle. You're then going to open it close to your fingers. You may feel a stretch through the front of your palm or the bottom of your forearm. But if you don't feel much of a stretch, you can provide yourself a little bit of pressure and then go into the finger movements. You can go through 20 to 30 of these.
The final stretch I'm going to show you guys is a windshield wiper movement stretch. So you're going to have your elbows bent to about 90 degrees and your palms facing down. You're then going to move your wrists side to side about 10 times, and then up and down about 10 times. You'll then flip your palms up and go through the same side to side motions, and then the same up and down motions.
A final piece of this stretch is you can put your wrists together, and then move them up and down about 10 times, and then move them side to side about 10 times.
